Glenn's Tire of Cocoa was
founded originally in 1952 By Glenn Carmichael. Glenn got his start after
returning home from the war by managing his uncles tire store in Orlando.
The space coast was a easy choice for Glenn to open his own store since he loved
the water life here in the county. With only a few hundred dollars to start
Glenn's Tire quickly became one of the county's most popular shops.
Expanding quickly, and including tire retreading into the business, it did
not take long to run out of room. Glenn's Tire Cocoa Was opened in 1962.
Starting out Glenn's Tire was a 1 West King St. (where Champions Honda is
now), and then moved twice until landing at its current home less than a
mile from the original where it has been since 1970. Glenn has since
past on, but his solid work ethic and TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE lives on.
Glenn's Tire Cocoa is now owned by Glenn's
son, Bill Carmichael. Bill has been an key part in the business for over 35
Years! Somewhat retired, Bill spends half his time at the shop still
servicing customer needs and spends his free time drag racing in NHRA's
Sportsman Series. Bill's son Nate Carmichael now manages the day to day
activities. With over 10 Years in the family business Nate is continuing to
strive to keep Glenn's Tire & Repair Service of Cocoa Inc. on the cutting
edge to bring the best in service and product selection to Brevard county
for generations to come.....
